Because they think it’s cool and get addicted after taking it, and I don’t think there is such a thing as an addiction-prone personality.

There are two reasons why people want to “get high:”
1. To increase feelings and thoughts of pleasure
2. To decrease feelings and thoughts of pain
Young people often start using drugs in order to be accepted by their friends (increase pleasure).
