I am going to begin taking a 12 step program for alcoholism. This is court ordered, but honestly I know it is needed. What should I expect? Do I have to share?

You don’t need to say anything at all. Not the best idea though. Basic format is go through official business (current events for the group, prayer, reciting of steps, …), someone talks about their experiences, comments, closing. If you’re serious about improving your life, introduce yourself, make yourself known, get involved, find a sponsor, don’t hide.
