My husband has a problem with these horrible little pills and it is slowly breaking him down and he is falling further from the man I once knew.He tried stopping for three days and it was horrible .He said he is done and wants help but first would like to try on his own with my support and guidance.Well I am not sure what is best ,should he stop cold turkey?And if I am to wean him off the pills how do I do so to the point he no longer needs them.
We have a beautiful family and life and I dont want this to cause that any harm so it is very important that I get some real good answer’s .I have been searching but can not find what I need.Please someone can you help me save my husband and our family.

vicodin is also known as hydrocodone and paracetamol, is a narcotic painkiller prescribed by doctors to treat severe pain. it’s also abused in the street drug community and is known to be physically and psychologically addictive. an addiction to it is as dangerous as an addiction to an illegal drug like heroin or cocaine, and should be treated just as seriously. take the steps necessary to cure your addiction as soon as possible to avoid long-term vicodin dependence.
you can help him check into a detox center. if his attemps at tapering off of it is unseccessful a detoxification center may be the best solution. he will most likely need to take time off from work to check into the clinic for several days, but it will be well worth your time to detox. doctor can recommend detox centers in your area.
go to a rehabilitation clinic. if the temptation of taking vicodin is still too much, living in a rehabilitation clinic for 90 days is an excellent way to get out of the habit of associating life with vicodin. you can ask your detoxification center for recommendations of rehab clinics near your area.
the help will start within the members of your family. you need a lot of patient to do all of this. things will be better. good luck.
