Hi. First let me give you a little background so you know what you are dealing with.
I am an older college educated woman who lives on disability because of mental illness. I am bi polar and bpd. I was told by a doctor that I am emotionally 12 years old. That sounds about right to me and given the circumstances of my childhood makes sense.
I had a very deprived and sadistic childhood. I had nothing and no one.
Now I have the hobby of collecting dolls. Not the thousand dollar art dolls, but good designer collectible play dolls that average about 50 dollars each.
The problem is that I constantly need a new doll to work on. (I re-make them and re-dress them) and I will stop at nothing to get them.
I am already 400 behind in rent and this month’s rent is 3 weeks late.
How can I be happy with what I have and not constantly searching for more? I feel like I am giving myself the childhood I never had and that no one wants me to have anything but me.
I won’t give up the computer. It is my only way of having contact with the outside world.
Someone once told me to sell on ebay and I tried that but it turned out to be more cost than profit and it is a pain to run to the post office when you aren’t even breaking even.

You are admitting an addiction, that is the first step. Why not try a program for addicts, like Alcoholics Anonymous. Maybe there is one for shopping.
Also, you need to talk to a Doctor. Maybe you need additional treatment or a new diagnosis.
