I’m working on a paper, and I already have recreational purposes and stress as reasons for drug abuse. Are there any other reasons?

To avoid withdrawals
To sleep (marijuana)
To eat (normally a excuse people use with weed)
To escape reality
To feel “normal”
For enjoyment
Some people get high for self discovery, normally with LSD and disassociates
Well… Hmm… Simply being held in a addiction, like coke or because when you try drugs like meth it releases all your ‘happy hormones’ at once, then kills a few. Edit: oh yes, some people do it to ‘help’ depression, and become dependent to it. When you become dependent you can’t do anything without it you feel like shxt and you can’t stop thinking about it. And what you need to understand the most is some people Don’t have a problem at all, they simply just enjoy it. Just because someone smokes weed doesn’t mean they’re depressed.
